Authentication Providers
Manage directory and MFA authentication providers for portal and proxy logins.

Authentication chain
Use Directory Service Authentication Chain to order directory providers, or select no authentication chain.
Create / edit
| Field / area | Description |

| Name | Provider name |
| Authentication Provider type | Type from the provider type list |
| General tab | Type-specific connection fields. Examples: host, keys, tenant IDs |
| Advanced tab | Cache expiry timeout, authentication timeout, provider call timeout (where applicable), valid username pattern, synchronize directory users and filter |
Row actions

| Validate Provider | Validate provider configuration |
| Validate User Login | Test a user login against the provider |
| Enable / Disable | For directory providers |
| Enable / Disable detailed logging | Provider diagnostics |
| Delete | Remove a non-internal provider |
Internal providers support editing 2FA settings or the admin/root password via dedicated dialogs. Examples:
